so I wanted to do a pic that was like this ([link]) ,only better ffff, and had a general feeling like this ([link]) but it turned out a bit too much like the latter pic... I'm sry Dostor :E


So I just sketched this random dragon (again!) and as I was colouring it, I came up with a character and a story for him.. no name though, because I suck with names. So he's this very grumpy guy. Likes to be alone and ponder about the meaning of life or such. A very powerful magician and very knowledgeable of ancient history, he sits in his cave and reads the numerous scrolls in his vast library, ever expanding his skills.

Sometimes people and other creatures search him out when in desperate need of help, like curing a disease or maybe a powerful enemy needs defeating. Rarely does anyone actually go looking for him, because most consider the tales of the great magician dragon barely a myth or a legend. So even rarer is the event of anyone finding him, because his cave is far from civilization, in the middle of a big range of dangerous and hostile mountains.

When, once every 25 years or so, someone does find him, he will often refuse the pleas of the one in need the first time, but if you keep pleading and he finds your cause worthwhile, he will help you. Because really he has a soft heart and is often persuaded into helping by a sad story. So he helps by teaching you his magics, mixing a potion, even going out to fight if needed... any way he can. You just have to get through his cold and grumpy shell and prove you are worth his effort.

The orb is basically his one true friend. He had a brother once, maybe centuries... or even millenia ago (no-one knows how old he is, but he's been around for a frickin long time) who was killed in the hands of an evil magician. The great magician dragon was able to preserve his brother's soul in an orb. Through this orb he can talk to his brother and connect with his mind and even borrow his brother's power when his own is insufficient. He always keeps the orb with him, guarding it like it was his child and even ready to give his life for it if needed. When he goes out to hunt or explore, he takes his brother with him (he can still see through the orb) and often reads to him of great adventures and scientists and magicians of this world from his scrolls. The brother is unable to speak directly from the orb, rather using his mind to connect and talk. So on the rare occasion of anyone witnessing the brothers having a conversation, it would seem like the great magician dragon was talking to himself. plz add three ! s to your comment if you've read this far haha.


Pheww, I hope that wasn't too hard to understand given I haven't named either of them XD I really should stop making up new characters because I already have 6 ref sheets waiting to be made!
